The urn burial in a specially designated forest area or a cemetery with a large proportion of forest is a natural and unconventional option for all those who have a special relationship with nature. The special atmosphere in these places enables a respectful, very personal type of funeral service and burial and offers individual space for mourning and remembrance.

The burial forest "NATURRUHE Friedewald" has been open in Coswig / Saxony since September 19th, 2016.
It is now possible to carry out a burial in the root area of a tree community, a single chosen or planted tree. At a community tree, urn places from a total of 12 grave sites can be purchased. As an alternative to the tree, the burial can also take place in a concise landscape element (e.g. rock faces or boulders).

With an optional or planting tree, you acquire the right of use not only for a single grave site but for the entire tree; depending on the tree with 2, 5 or up to 8 urn places for yourself, family or friends.

The company FriedWald

FriedWald forests are large, naturally grown oak forests or sparse mixed forests in which the trees or the ground beneath them serve as a burial ground. A FriedWald forest warden will be happy to accompany and advise you on the diverse selection of trees: from a single place to a family tree or the friendship tree for burials of up to ten urns, there is a possibility for everyone.
Please refer to the map for the nearest FriedWald locations.
