Forms of funerals
Sea funeral

The funeral at sea (or sea funeral) is a form of interment  which requires a specific and credible declaration from the deceased during his or her lifetime (for example: He or she used to be a sailor and thus had formed a close bond to the sea). The interment of a deceased at sea is only allowed on special places.

After the cremation, the ashes will be filled from the ash-capsule into a special sea urn and then interred at sea. Sea urns are manufactured from materials which have to dissolve in water within 48 hours after the funeral and do not have to be harmful to the environment.
The bereaved receive a sea chart with the exact location of the grave for future visitations.
